New York Pavilion @ Salon du Livre 2018

THE BIG APPLE IN GENEVA ///

For the fourth year running, The Geneva International Book and Press Fair invited us to design a creative zone in which everyone can express themselves - and this time it had a distinctly American theme! The entrance to the New York Pavilion was through a bridge, offering a superb view of the Empire State Building and Manhattan's skyline. A typical Greenwich Village street was recreated using scenery worthy of American studios: facades of old houses, a gas pump, barber shop, food market...

The New York pavilion held various artistic and collaborative activities throughout the Fair: writing postcards, a selfie space, a wall dedicated to personal "tags", post-its to declare your love for your city (Geneva or New York), a cinema space showing cult film extracts and a "Found poetry" space.

The pavilion also hosted artistic performances by graffiti artists, musicians and DJs, meetings with authors such as Douglas Kennedy and Marc Levy among others, and round tables and conferences bringing together American and Swiss cultural leaders.
