Play me, I'm Yours 2019

Touring internationally since 2008, Play Me, I’m Yours is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. More than 1800 pianos have now been installed in over 60 cities across the globe, from London to Lima, bearing the simple invitation Play Me, I’m Yours. The project has already reached more than ten million people worldwide.

For this 9th season, we decided to explore the relationship between the free pianos and movement. We gave carte blanche to two Geneva-based contemporary dance companies, Obains and Alias, to create shows on the streets, interacting with instruments, pianists and the public. These new and exclusive creations are to be discovered in front of Jet d'eau (13.6), Place Bel-Air (9 performances between 13.6 and 29.6) and Meyrin Village (21.6). The Daniel Leveillé Trio will propose tap-dancing, swing and jazz instead of the Rhône (28.6), before giving way to the "Crocoeurs 2 Mots" and the "Mots dits Festival" for a stroll through poetry and slam on 5 pianos around the Rade (29.6).

32 free access pianos will enliven the streets of 12 municipalities in the Canton of Geneva for 18 days from June 13 to 30.

Located in public parks, streets and squares, the pianos will be available to the public and will allow magical encounters, sometimes improbable, thanks to this great tool of social link that is shared music.
